'Til we meet again...

A bittersweet ending...It's been an awesome journey, and I shared it with so many people that I hold close in heart. Thank y'all for making a community of fiberati in the 'hood. I hope that it continues on, and that the friendships that began at POSH last beyond.

Y'all have made me laugh & I've shared your sorrows & triumphs. You have touched my life in many ways, and you'll all live on in my heart.

Have a fiberlicious journey into the beyond! I'll be thinking of y'all!

K4OT Update and Free Kris' Kap "Recipe"

A Posh original--Kris' Kap--modeled by a very reluctant friend of Posh

Drum roll, please: The Denver Public Library's Knitting for Our Troops Caps Project has brought in 10,358 helmet liner hats--so far!

The project continues with hats rolling into the library on an ongoing basis. The project has even spread to stitchers in Savannah, Ga.

We had a blast at Posh, with tons of knitters and crocheters coming and going throughout the Jan. 23-24 weekend marathon. Overall, we donated almost 190 hats to the cause.

If you want to knit a few more lids for the troops, check out Kris' Kap Recipe, designed by our very own Kris R. This one is knit in Aslan Trends low-impact, head-friendly Ecolana, an irresistable blend of alpaca and merino. The all-natural colors are totally dude-approved.

Once again, thank you all for your participation!

The first chicken comes home to roost!

Ola! El gordo pollo!

Ladies, we have a chicken. And I have it on good authority that this is an especially "green" bird, not only knit with the Blue Sky Alpacas so-soft organic cotton, but also stuffed with old t-shirts, pantyhose, yarn remnants and roving.

Remember, all chickens need to be feathered and stuffed by April 15!

In other news: In case you need chicken recipes, books on chickens or other reading material, we have a darling new book store right across the street on Tennyson: The Bookery Nook. What could be more heavenly? Books and yarn on one corner.

Have a fiberlicious weekend!

Do y'all blog?

I'm starting a blog roll here of customer blogs. If you're a knitting or crochet blogger leave a comment and we'll put you up!

And, for those of you who are more technologically enhanced than I am, check out the KnitGauge app for iPhone and iPod Touch. Don't have a ruler handy, just check your gauge with your phone. And it costs a buck! I'm going to steal Jesse's iPod right now!
