POSH Moving Updates & Closures

Hi y'all,

POSH will be closed Oct 30th - Nov 3rd to move, unpack, and settle in the new shop. We will re-open at 12 noon on Tuesday the 4th.

Classes will continue as scheduled this week and next, and Stitch Therapy is going on tomorrow evening (10/29) as usual.

Moving Sale!!! Oct. 17th - 29th.

POSH will move to a new home November 1st, and since we have grown a little wiser in the ways of moving, we are having a sale! We will be packing most of the yarn the last couple of days, so come early before the good stuff make its way into boxes. Our new location is still on Tennyson Street, just 3 blocks north of our current location, located on the west side of the street. 4321 Tennyson St., an adorable house that will fit us perfectly!

POSH I – Sept 9th – 30th
Beginning level, no prior skills needed. You’ll learn the basics of knitting and make a fabulous felted bag project! 4 sessions, Tuesdays, 6-8 pm, $60.00 + materials. Instructor: Leslie

POSH II – Sept 18th – Oct., 9th
For the knitter with basic skills that wants to learn more. You’ll start with a fab hat, then start a project of your choice. You’ll review gauge & pattern reading. We’ll cover ribbing, knitting in the round, shaping, and more.
4 sessions, Thursdays, 6-8pm, $60 + materials. Instructor: Sarah

POSH III – TBA

Socks! Sept., 23rd – Oct 7th
This class is for the new sock knitter. You’ll learn how make socks on DPN’s, and have a pair by the end of the classes.

Felted Clogs – Sept., 27th – Oct., 11th
Learn to make the infamous Fiber Trends Felted Clogs. These are great holiday gifts, and knit up quickly.

Green Gables Tee
July 26th - August 26th, Green Gable is one of those patterns that satisfies your itch for a fun finished project. Knit completely in the round from the top down, this tee is fast and easy with enough detail to keep you happy. It requires little to no seaming and a very simple lace pattern. Yarn Harlot in Denver!

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee graced Denver/Highlands Ranch with her humor, and a great time was had by all. A few of us POSH Girlz trekked out to the 'burbs. We laughed, waited, had cuban coffees, waited, and got our books signed. I must say that I liked the LoDo location much better. More room, and better seating. I couldn't get away early, and got there with enough time to purchase a book and have a seat before all the commotion began. Sat far, far, away...I couldn't see her at all (there was a hat & tall person in the seats directly in front of me), but she was still great as ever. :) Loved her in the woods/trek to the store story...it was much funnier in person. I hope she visits us on all her future book tours!

Socks! Magic Loop
March 8th & 16th Learn to make toe up or top down socks using the magic loop method. You get to pick your pattern, and also learn how to measure your foot and calculate your your own sock pattern. Beginning knitting skills required.

Beginning Knitting
February 17th - March 9th, This is a class for the new knitter to learn the basics. We will learn to cast-on, knit, purl, bind off, ribbing, gauge, how to read a pattern, and more! You'll make a hat perfect for the weather or the slopes.

Felted Bag
March 15th - 29th Design your own bag, and learn how to felt it! This is a fun & fantastic class to take with POSH's felting maven, Meg. This is a perfect class for the beginner, or if you've never shrunk you knitting on purpose. Basic knitting skills required.

Knitted Little Luxuries
March 12th - 26th Choose your project and make adorable pair of fingerless gloves, a sassy beret, or a luxurious scarf. You could even knit all three! You can also learn add embellishments to make them unique. Basic knitting skills required.

Yarn Updates...Rowan, Mission Falls, & more

Just a quick shop update. We have the new Rowan Magazine 43 in stock, as well as a few of the Fall/Winter 42 issue. We just finished stocking the new Purelife Organic Cotton Collection as well as the pattern books for it. Very nice!! We also have 10 colors of All Seasons Cotton, Summer Tweed, and new spring yarn, Silk Cotton RYC. We also have the new Seasons at the Mill book. There are some great patterns for many shapes and sizes.

For the Mission Falls cotton fans, we have a the new Whirl colors. They are multicolored & fun! We also have the Illusrator book for Spring/Summer. Great new patterns for the cotton.
